# Free G25 Admix: a free Global25 admixture report for your coordinates

If you already hold a Global25 row, you can get an admixture report for it free at Ancestrify.
Not a trial, not a teaser locked behind a checkout: your admixture in every era, on a calculator
our analyst builds around your row, the three closest reference populations of every era, and the
three closest notable individuals in each of three tiers. The service is called **G25 Admix**. It
is a free taste of Ancestrify, free once per account, and nothing is published: your coordinates
and your name stay private and are used only for your report.

One honest line before the rest. The report is free; the coordinates are not. Official Global25
coordinates come from one place, Davidski's independent Eurogenes G25 Requests portal, and their
site states 15 EUR per kit. If you do not have a row yet,
[skip to that section](#if-you-do-not-have-your-coordinates-yet). If you do, here is exactly what
you get and what you give.

## What the free G25 Admix report contains

Everything sits in one view, with the same reveal and toolbar as the paid reports:

- **Your admixture in every era.** Solved on a calculator our analyst builds around your own row,
not a generic worldwide panel: it starts from the populations of the country and region you
declare, and a person reviews it before your report opens. Each source population is drawn in
the Lamplight portrait set, and shares under 1.5 percent fold into a single "Other" row so the
  picture stays readable.
- **A note from our analyst.** A few plain sentences on the calculator built for you and why its
  sources are there.
- **The three closest populations of every era.** Six distance eras, from the Late Bronze Age to
the modern day, each with its three nearest reference populations by Euclidean distance in
Global25 space. Tap any population to open the individual samples behind its average.
- **The three closest notable matches in every tier.** Historical figures (people history knows
by name, with published ancient DNA), iconic discoveries (mummies, warriors and burials that
made headlines) and deep time individuals from the Ice Age. Tap a portrait for the dossier.
- **A Globe film of your sources.** Every source of your composition is visited on the globe, era
by era, from the largest share to the smallest, each in its Lamplight portrait. It plays on the
report, and the full quality file is yours to download once our servers have rendered it.
- **A line of figures** giving the fit distance of the era you are looking at, the number of eras
solved, your closest population and your closest notable match, so the headline is legible
  before you scroll.

[Ancestry Map](/g25), our paid Global25 analysis, opens every chapter behind these: the full ranking of every
era, the admixture atlas with the panel of its calculator to copy, PCA, the whole notable catalog,
the reading and a second video, the Populations film. The free report is the first three rows of
each of those tables, solved properly, with the artwork, from the row you already have.

## What it costs and what stays private

It costs nothing: no payment and no trial. G25 Admix is free once per account. What you give is
what the report is made from:

- **Your own official Global25 row.** The scaled row, pasted, or the unmodified .txt file
  Davidski sent.
- **Your first and last name.** The report is addressed to it.
- **Your country and your region.** You declare both, and our analyst starts your calculator from
  the populations of that place.
- **One consent.** A single box: your explicit consent to Ancestrify processing your genetic
  data to produce your report.

What stays private: all of it. Nothing is published. Your coordinates and your name are used
only for your report. Your Global25 coordinates are a description of your genome, which is why
the form asks for your explicit consent before anything is solved.

## How to get it, step by step

Filling in the request takes about a minute.

1. **Create a free account and verify your email.** No purchase is needed at any point, and the
report is free once per account.
2. **Open G25 Admix from Home or from Get a report**, or go straight to
   [/dashboard/g25-admix](/dashboard/g25-admix).
3. **Paste your scaled row, or upload the file.** One line, the label optional, then the 25
scaled values exactly as Davidski sent them. If you prefer, upload the unmodified .txt file he
sent, Scaled block and Raw block intact. The row is checked against the original Global25 grid
   as you type.
4. **Enter your first and last name.** The report is addressed to it.
5. **Choose your country and your region.** You declare both, and together they tell our analyst
   where to start your calculator.
6. **Tick the consent box.** There is one: your explicit consent to Ancestrify processing your
genetic data to produce your report.
7. **Submit.** Our analyst builds a calculator around your row and a person reviews it, then your
report opens in My reports. You get a notification and an email when it is ready.

A calculator is built for every report, so it does not matter whether your country already had
one. Every sovereign state is in the country list.

## Why the row is checked against the original grid

A report is only as good as the row it is solved from, so the form refuses anything that is not
an unmodified official projection. Original scaled Global25 exports print on a numeric grid.
A row converted from calculator percentages, produced by a "G25 simulator", or edited by hand
falls off that grid in ways that are easy to detect: many components off the lattice at once,
long floating point tails where the real service rounds, marker words in the sample name. The
same forensic check is available free and standalone at the
[G25 Authenticity Check](/lab/g25-authenticity), and it runs locally in your browser.

A simulated row would not be doing you any favours in the report anyway. A fabricated row is
pulled toward whichever averages fabricated it, so distances and admixture come back tidier than
your genome supports. If you are unsure whether the row you hold is the scaled or the unscaled
one, [this guide tells them apart](/blog/g25-scaled-vs-unscaled).

The other rule is one set of coordinates, one free report. Coordinates already used for G25 Admix
are refused on any other account, and one account gets one free report, so nobody collects a
second one. A relative who wants a report opens their own free account and uses their own row.

## If you do not have your coordinates yet

Two routes, both open to anyone.

**Route one: order them yourself.** Go to Davidski's independent Eurogenes G25 Requests portal,
upload the raw DNA file from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA or LivingDNA, pay
their fee (their site states 15 EUR per kit) and wait for the row (their site states 2 to 7 days).
[What that portal is and what comes back](/blog/g25requests-app-explained) is written up
separately. When the file arrives, come back and paste the scaled row.

**Route two: have them obtained for you.** Order [Ancestry Map](/g25) with your raw file
instead of a row and add the Coordinate Concierge (+15 EUR, a pass-through of the portal's fee).
Ancestrify places the request with that same service on your behalf, our analyst starts on your
calculator the moment the row arrives, and the row is yours to keep. Both routes are laid out side
by side at [/get-g25-coordinates](/get-g25-coordinates).

No testing company produces Global25 coordinates, and Ancestrify never computes them. Anything
that claims to produce your row without the Global25 reference data is a simulation, and
simulated rows fail the grid check above.

## Free report versus Ancestry Map

| | G25 Admix (free) | Ancestry Map (29.99 EUR) |
|---|---|---|
| Composition per era | Yes, on a calculator built around your row | Yes, on the map, era by era, on a calculator built around your row |
| Closest populations | Three per era | Every population ranked, in every era, drawn on the map |
| Notable matches | Three per tier | The whole catalog ranked and mapped |
| PCA | No | Yes, where you fall among the ancient samples |
| The reading | No | A written chapter on what the results mean |
| Ancestry videos | One, a Globe film of your sources | Two, a Globe film and a Populations film |
| Your calculator | Built around your row, with a note from our analyst | Built around your row, with the note and the panel itself, to copy into any Global25 tool |
| Input | Your official scaled row | The same row, already in place |

The paid report starts from the coordinates you already gave, so nothing is re-entered. If the
free view answers your question, you are done and you paid nothing. If it raises the next one,
[Ancestry Map](/g25) is one payment and the same row.

## Privacy and deletion

Nothing is published. Your coordinates and your name stay private. They are used to solve your
report, to start Ancestry Map from the same row if you upgrade, and to keep the rule
of one free report per set of coordinates.

Deleting your account deletes the coordinates and the report. To have them deleted without
closing your account, write to support. The [privacy notice](/privacy) describes how Ancestrify
processes genetic data, which is the processing the consent box covers.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is the free G25 Admix report really free?

Yes. It costs nothing at any step: no payment and no trial, and it is free once per account. You
need a free Ancestrify account with a verified email, your official Global25 row, your name,
your country and region, and one consent box. The coordinates themselves are the one thing that
is not free: they come from Davidski's independent G25 Requests portal, whose site states 15 EUR
per kit.

### Do I need to buy anything from Ancestrify to get the G25 Admix report?

No. The free report is not a trial and does not expire. Ancestry Map, our paid Global25 analysis
(29.99 EUR, one time), is offered at the end of it for anyone who wants every ranking, the admixture atlas,
PCA, the reading and the Populations film, and it reuses the same row, but the free report stands
on its own.

### Does my Global25 row stay private?

Yes. Nothing is published. Your coordinates and your name stay private and are used only for
your report, for the paid Ancestry Map (our Global25 analysis) if you upgrade from the same row, and to keep the rule
of one free report per set of coordinates. Deleting your account deletes the coordinates and the
report.

### When does the free G25 Admix report open?

When its calculator is ready. Our analyst builds a calculator around your own row, starting from
the populations of the country and region you declare, and once a person has reviewed it, your
report opens. You get a notification and an email when it is ready. The country list covers every
sovereign state.

### How is the free G25 Admix report different from the paid Global25 analysis?

The free report shows your admixture in every era, solved on a calculator our analyst builds
around your row, with a note from our analyst, the three closest populations of every era and the
three closest notable matches in every tier, in one view, with a Globe film of your sources.
Ancestry Map, our paid Global25 analysis (29.99 EUR, one time), opens the full ranking of every era
on a map, the admixture atlas with its calculator's panel to copy into any Global25 tool, PCA, the
whole notable catalog, a written reading and a Populations film beside the Globe film, and it
starts from the row you already gave.
