What you are buying
Global25 is a coordinate system, not a company product: the 25 numbers come from the independent Eurogenes service, and an entire free ecosystem exists for basic runs. What you buy here is Ancestry Map, the worked analysis: a curated six-era reference workspace built from 30,386 individual samples, a calculator built around your row alone by our analyst and approved by a person, every lens computed and presented so it can be argued with, and cinematic exports rendered on our servers.
- Price
- €29.99, paid once. Add-ons are optional and one-time; there is no subscription and no credit system.
- Input
- Your official Global25 coordinate row, pasted at checkout, or a raw DNA file with the Coordinate Concierge (+€15, a pass-through of the provider's fee)
- Reference set
- 1,535 curated populations from 30,386 individual samples, across six eras from the Late Bronze Age (3000 BC) to the modern day
- The three lenses
- Closest populations by 25-dimension Euclidean distance, per era; nMonte-style admixture models with the fit distance and the full source panel published; PCA among ancient and modern individuals
- Included free
- Notable Matches: your distance to 254 published ancient individuals, from Ice Age hunters to named historical figures, each with its source paper cited
- Your calculator
- Built by our analyst around your own coordinates and approved by a person before your report opens, included in the price; the report shows its populations, a note from our analyst and the panel itself, yours to copy into any Global25 tool
How ordering works
- Have coordinates? Paste the official scaled row at checkout and our analyst builds your calculator around it. Unsure whether a row is genuine? The free authenticity check reads its fingerprint first.
- Only have a raw file? Upload it and add the Coordinate Concierge (€15): with your explicit consent we obtain the official row from the independent Eurogenes service, typically within a few days, and it stays yours.
- Pay once by card, in euros. Nothing is charged before the input has passed its checks.
- Your report opens in your private dashboard once a person has approved its calculator, with every lens, era by era, and you are emailed exactly once.
Honest limits, stated before you pay
A coordinate fit has no p-value and cannot reject a model: it always returns percentages, and the fit distance is a gap measure, not a test. Distances measure resemblance to population averages, never descent from anyone who lived. Where a claim needs formal testing, our separate Ancient Ancestry report, built on qpAdm, is the instrument for it; the two products answer different questions on purpose. And the free Lab tools genuinely cover casual exploration: nobody should buy this before pasting their row into the free distance calculator first.
Questions
How much does a G25 analysis cost?
Ancestry Map, our G25 analysis, costs €29.99, paid once, with no subscription and no credits. Every report is built on a calculator our analyst makes for you, included. Optional one-time add-ons: the Coordinate Concierge (€15, a pass-through of the coordinate provider's per-kit fee) if you upload a raw file instead of pasting a row, and Fast compute (€10), which is not offered with the Concierge.
Do I need Global25 coordinates before ordering?
No. There are two ways in. If you already have your official row, paste it at checkout and our analyst builds your calculator around it. If you only have a raw DNA file, upload it and add the Coordinate Concierge: with your consent we obtain the official coordinates from the independent Eurogenes G25 Requests service on your behalf, typically within a few days, and our analyst starts on your calculator the moment they arrive. The row is yours to keep and reuse anywhere.
Why can't you just compute my coordinates instantly?
Because nobody can, honestly. Global25 coordinates are produced by one independent service, run by the author of the Eurogenes blog; no testing company and no analysis site computes them. Tools that promise instant coordinates simulate a row from other calculators' output, and a simulated row describes the conversion, not your genome. Ancestrify only ever analyses official rows.
What exactly do I receive?
Three lenses across six eras from the Late Bronze Age to today, against 1,535 curated populations drawn from 30,386 individual samples: your closest populations by Euclidean distance per era; nMonte-style admixture models on the calculator our analyst builds around your row, each reported with its fit distance and the full list of populations offered, used and unused, with a note from our analyst and the panel itself, yours to copy into any Global25 tool; and PCA views placing your coordinate among ancient and modern individuals. Plus Notable Matches free with every report: your distance to 254 published ancient individuals. Two cinematic films, a Globe film and a Populations film, render on our servers and are yours to download.
Is G25 the same as qpAdm?
No, and the difference matters. A Global25 analysis is coordinate arithmetic: fast, transparent and always answering, with a fit distance but no p-value. qpAdm is a formal statistical test on allele frequencies that can reject a model outright. They are separate products, Ancestry Map and Ancient Ancestry, because they answer different questions; many customers eventually run both.
Is the calculator really built for me?
Yes. Our analyst builds a Global25 calculator around your own coordinates rather than fitting you to a published regional calculator: it starts from the populations of the region you declare and tests every source against your row, and a person reviews and approves it before your report opens. It is included in the price, and reports delivered before 10 October 2026 keep their original result. No other service we have compared ourselves with advertises this.
Can I try the tools before paying?
Yes, and you should. The free Lab runs the same family of arithmetic in your browser with no account: the distance calculator, the admixture calculator with curated era panels, and the PCA viewer. Ancestry Map adds the curated six-era workspace, a calculator our analyst builds around your row, the videos, Notable Matches and a report that stays in your account.
How the method works is on the Ancestry Map page, and the two ways to get a coordinate row are on getting your G25 coordinates.
