A DNA Traits report reads this marker in your raw DNA file and shows which of the three genotypes is yours, with how common it is. It counts the copies of the studied allele; it does not measure the trait itself.

Limits

What it cannot tell you

The study combined life-satisfaction and positive-affect questionnaires. This tiny population-level association cannot measure your happiness, life satisfaction or current mood, and does not predict depression or any other mental-health condition. Only the studied A/G allele pair is interpreted. Independent replication of this exact well-being association has not been verified; the reported discovery effect is not an individual happiness prediction.
